1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Story Bind ("the Service"), operated at valentinebook.com and through our mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Story Bind is a platform that creates personalized, AI-generated books. You provide information about your relationships, memories, and photos, and our AI generates custom stories, poems, and designs compiled into a digital or printed book.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

4. User Content and Responsibilities

You agree to:

Provide truthful information and only upload photos you have the right to use
Not upload content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
Not use the Service to create content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights
Not attempt to reverse engineer, exploit, or misuse the Service

You retain ownership of the photos and information you provide. By submitting content to the Service, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and use it solely for the purpose of generating your book.

5. AI-Generated Content

The stories, poems, and designs in your book are generated by artificial intelligence based on the information you provide. While we strive for quality and accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing your book content before finalizing your order. We grant you a non-exclusive, perpetual license to use the AI-generated content in your book for personal, non-commercial purposes.

6. Payments and Refunds

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. All prices are displayed before purchase. Due to the personalized nature of our products:

Digital books: Refunds may be issued within 7 days of purchase if you are unsatisfied with the quality
Printed books: Refunds or reprints are available if the product arrives damaged or significantly differs from the digital preview
Refund requests should be sent to support@valentinebook.com

7. Intellectual Property

The Story Bind platform, including its design, code, AI models integration, templates, and branding, is our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform. Your personalized book content is licensed to you as described in Section 5.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Story Bind shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific product giving rise to the claim. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.

9. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if necessary, through binding arbitration.
